Defense Resolution:

Should resources be deployed against Arlington County, and/or the Commonwealth of Virginia, the Arlington County Board commits its resources to defending our communities from hostile forces. The Arlington County Board commits to strengthening and establishing relations with other municipalities and regions to give mutual aid to other communities we see under attack.

Pedestrianization Strategy

Quickly pedestrianize Arlington’s with the Ballston-Rosslyn Corridor and the Blue-Line/Richmond Highway Corridor by summer of 2026. This would establish a tactical plan to

• Close streets to through traffic

• Create vehicle points of entry

• Replace street parking with community and economic uses

• Restrict Privately Driven Freight Traffic between the hours of 6 PM and 4 AM

Community Governance Plan

Establishe a subcommittee to create a Community Governance Plan that drives an ambitiously democratic and representative local governance model.

Transition, Retention, and Resiliency Program.

This Program will have, but not be limited to, these duties:

• Establish programs so residents who own their property are guaranteed to continue to own property of the same or greater value in Arlington.

• Create programs to enable avenues for any resident to become owner/part-owner of their property.

• Expand programs to ensure our residents have the tools to be prepared and resilient to the rapidly changing world.

• Work with Arlington Public Schools to create an environmental program so that students are prepared for what is going in the environment

• Divest from Defense and Government Contracting

• Invest in Start-ups and Local Businesses in a wide variety of sectors

• Establish a moral framework that considers the whole long-term impact on people and the environment.
